What are the long term effects of childhood bullying?:Bullying is a form of hostile behavior towards others, with the aim of inflicting pain and causing distress. It is usually instigated by a person who is of more power than those being bullied in terms of age, weight, strength and popularity. Bullying may be physical abuse through slapping, beating, kicking or being locked in a room. Verbal bullying involves; name calling, teasing, gossiping and hurtful comments. Social bullying is where one is excluded from some people and threatened.

Bullying affects development brings about emotional problems that make it difficult for one to transition effectively in various growth stages. It limits a person’s development of social skills, development of identity and potential all that are essential to the development.
