What are the differences between democracy and other forms of government?: Government is the system which rules a state, country or community. A form of government refers to the group of political institutions and systems that create the organization of a specific government. The form of government affects many aspects of how the state or institution is governed. Some of it includes its economy, implementation and creation of laws, the number of administrators that represent it, how power to rule is passed on and others.

There are a number of government forms that have been identified: Namely democracy, monarchy, republicanism, aristocracy, dictatorship, totalitarianism and fascism. This essay paper will differentiate between democracy and the other forms of government. It will also describe the best form of government and explain that with reasons.

The decision making in a democratic form of government involves widespread discussion within the state or government (Rawat, 2014). Democracy allows amendment of laws; hence correction of mistakes once made that did not make the citizens satisfied. In a democracy form of government, the law is supreme and regardless of the wealth or power levels of the people, they are all subjected to that law. Therefore, no one is above the law.
