The strengths of Exxon Valdez company during the oil spill:An oil supertanker that was 987 foot which was referred to as Exxon Valdez ran into a rock cliff leading to oil soiling within the Prince William Sound waters. This incident is attributed to the fat that the captain in charge of the tanker, Joseph Hazelwood, was intoxicated while operating the tanker.

During the time of the oil spill, the company was enjoying a good relationship with the government, since it was amongst the largest oil companies in the industry. Nevertheless, the Exxon Company was litigated by fishermen as well as other interested persons in the Court of Alaska.

Exxon Corporation as well agreed to assume the responsibility for majority of the costs that were incurred from the cleanup process. This was imperative in making sure that the company maintains a good relationship with the government, through handling issues that would otherwise lead to lawsuits. Although it was a severe concern, Exxon Company had adequate resources to manage this crisis.
