Motivation within an organization is crucial to any functional organization and the individual success of the employee. Being knowledgeable of the process of goal setting, employee evaluations, and motivation by giving employees rewards can lead to the success and growth of the organization by keeping good performance reputation. Setting goals on workplace productivity can impact the organization both positively and negatively. Rewards that are offered to employees for quality performance makes them be able to assess themselves, enabling them to have job satisfaction and individual growth. Many business practitioners and academics affirm that “empowerment” increase job satisfaction, mainly through increasing the intrinsic rewards of work (Kern and Schumann 1992, p. 111)

The importance of goal setting is relevant to the company and for employees, and organizational management cannot afford to ignore it.
