The Impact Behavior Has on the Academic Achievement of Middle School Students:Studies show that there is a strong correlation between the behaviors of a students with his or her academic performance. Behaviors such as reduced exclusionary, increased student satisfaction, reactive and punitive discipline practices, and high levels of perceptions of school safety have great influences on the academic performance of students.

Techniques such as motivational interviewing and School-wide Positive Behavior Support used to improve behavior among students have proven to be more effective that punitive techniques. They result to improved academic performance and achievement. Keeping fit is also a behavior that has a positive correlation with academic performance of middle school students.
