The effects of cyberbullying on adolescents today
Cyberbullying is a word commonly used to imply the use of electronic media and the various forms of online and offline communication in harassing a person. Typically, this form of harassment included sending all manner of messages to the person, messages seen as intimidating or threatening. Additionally, in cyberspace today, these threatening communication forms of are messages through mobile phones, instant messaging applications like Whatsapp and Viber, email, chat rooms, and even the very many social networking sites alike Facebook and Twitter.
The emergence of cyberbullying has appeared as one of the latest forms of aggression behavior in the society. The adolescents’ effect by this phenomenon arises due to their large presence and use of the internet and the various communications media brought about by the information communication technology. The intention of the perpetrators of cyber bullying focuses on harming their victims. The phenomenon has many effects on these victims has a diverse effect. The phenomenon of cyberbullying has been the focus of scholars for quite a while now.
