The Aviator

The paper provides a psychological analysis of Howard Hughes, who is portrayed in the movie “The Aviator.” The film was written by John Logan, directed by Martin Scorsese and acted by Leonardo DiCaprio as the central character who portrays the life of Hughes. The psychological analysis shows that the life of Hughes was troubled by severe mental disorder right from his childhood to his adulthood when the condition became severe with some mental injuries. Despite the condition, Hughes was able to earn popularity as a celebrity but due to deterioration of his states, he ended up living isolated life.

Different from other people with OCD, Hughes wealth and position in society helped him to overcome some challenges but severe symptoms overpowered him. However, the aviator was able to portray accurately the life of a man who struggle with OCD symptom for a decade.
