Thanatechnology is the study of death using technology such as internet. In the past people used principal technology in the service of the dead using whatever is at their disposal to grief, support, and share memories. The new digitalized technology develops opportunities to handle the dying, death, and mourning.
The editors must be extremely sensitive in the diverse ways that thanatechnology impacts the death system (Mallon, 2008). Again, it must incorporate the ways in which a society organizes behavior around a dying person. One of the ways of handling the sick and elderly people that are a higher risk of death is by use of telehospice, which is also known as telehealth

In conclusion, thanatechnology helps individual to deal with dying, dead, and grieve in an effective manner. Using advanced technology such as telehospice, telehealhcare, and telenursing brings the services closer to the patient. Adapting such technologies is a social responsibility especially to the elderly. Patients, caregivers, nurses, and social workers appreciate this technology.
