Teachers Rights:This paper seeks to discuss a case that lead California court to rule teacher tenure created impermissible unequal conditions among students. The aim of the case suit was to strike down teacher tenure and other laws in California that offer educators with job security, a decision expected to trigger widespread challenges of employment protection in the US. Plaintiffs argued that children from poor families in California received inferior education because they saddle weakest teachers entrenched in their teaching positions and difficult to fire. Judges in the superior court sided with the plaintiffs against powerful labor unions in the US, lowering the teacher employment laws because they violated students’ rights (Layton, 2010).
