They contain a lot of calories that could lead to childhood obesity. One out of three children and two out of three adults are overweight United States. The government spends approximately $190 billion in treating diseases related to obesity. One of the major contributors to increased obesity in the country is the rising consumption of sugar drinks.

The ministry of education should consult revised food standards to make sure that the health of students is protected through offering healthy and nutritional meals. The only advantage of these drinks is that they are tasty and convenient.
