The article, statewide Differences in Personality, recognizes that there exist personality differences among the Americans from various states or regions. These differences manifest themselves in personal attitudes towards minority groups, political orientations, occupational performance, and health amongst other things. However, these personal differences are derived from stereotypes. The author compiles report of researches carried out by different scholars affirming that the personality traits varied from amongst people from different regions in United States. One research feature 6400 respondents who represented six multistate regions.
