Social media

Social media sites happen to be web-based services enabling people to create a public or private profile in a bordered system in addition to articulating others with the aim of sharing thoughts and connections. However the nature, classification and type of the connections might differ from one site to the other. The distinctiveness of social media enables users to meet with strangers. It also allows them to discuss their social networks and make them noticeable. This leads to connections between users which otherwise is impossible through any other existing media.

At a similar time, the social media experience of conducting several conversations and activities with others is integrated in the way the youth approach everyday life. The specific boundaries between online and offline, private and public, are continually being blurred, equally affecting one another in several ways.
