Social, Behavioral, and Psychosocial Causes of Diseases: Type 2 Diabetes (T2D)

Social, Behavioral, and Psychosocial Causes of Diseases: Type 2 Diabetes (T2D):Diabetes means your blood sugar levels are higher than normal. Type 2 diabetes is a chronic and increasingly rampant illness in which individuals have problems regulating the level of their blood sugar. Type 2 diabetes is fundamentally preventable. Type 2 diabetes mainly affects people over forty years. With type 2 diabetes, the disease and symptoms have the tendency to develop gradually over months. Individuals with diabetes have higher levels of blood sugar than normal because their bodies are not responsive to insulin and they do not generate sufficient insulin. Type 2 diabetes is very common. If one suffers from type 2 diabetes, this means that his or her body does not make good use of insulin in the right way (Dods, 2013). This is known as insulin resistance. Initially, your pancreas generates excess insulin to make up for it.

Avoid processed and red meat
The evidence is emerging stronger that consumption of red meat from beef, lamb or pork increases the chance of diabetes. Red meat should be substituted with healthier protein sources like fish, poultry and low-fat dairy as these lower the risk of diabetes.
I would recommend daily exercise. This is because it helps to burn extra calories, thus, lowering the chances of being obese and cut weight. Consequently, this lowers the risk of diabetes.
