SIOP Model Adapted Lesson Plan: Metric Weight Measurement
SIOP Model Adapted Lesson Plan: Metric Weight Measurement:The SIE strategies used in this lesson plan include the means by which the instructor introduces and explains some vocabulary that is related to the unit and that will be used regularly. They include the content words like kilogram, grams and metric system. The instructor goes ahead to define as well as explain how they relate to each other. The students are guided by writing them on a paper that will be as a reference to remind them about the units. By doing this, the instructor will get information from the objectives of the unit as she introduces and explains the two units of measure. The instructor will asks questions like what kilogram and gram have in common-gram. Then will use this to compare to their background information whether they have seen the word in language or reading arts before. In the vocabulary part, the instructor introduces language words; they include more than, less than, estimate and exactly.
