Jainism is considered as an ancient religion originating from Eastern India.   The ideology of the religion was to oppose the concept of formalized and organized rituals of Hinduism, which is the most dominant religion in India.  Arguably, Jains are considered as more respectful than the God, with the core belief to overcome temptations and inner enemies such as greed, anger and pride through the practice of non-attachments with the material world and emphasis on living a peaceful and a disciplined lifestyle.

The proportion of people following a religion is low compared to religions such as Christianity and Islamic, which are the major in the world, which inspired the investigation on this religion.  Jainism structure and practice is established on compassion for all forms of life by advocating ecologically responsible ways of life which is profuse with non-violent thoughts, action and deed.  There are three pillars of Jainism religion that include non-attachment, non-absolutism and non-violence. These principles assist Janis avoid the accumulation of karma and weigh down their soul.
