In order to control diabetes, patients should observe their diet so as to maintain normal HA1c level. The HA1c (Hemoglobin) test is the measurement of long-term blood glucose levels. People with diabetes mostly undertake it in every 3-6 months. Patients with chronic diabetes should have a score of HA1c of less than 7% in comparison to someone who is not diabetic with a score of 4.0 to 5.9 HA1c level. Thus, when the HA1c is close to the normal levels the risk of complications is highly minimized.
