Procrastination is the postponement of an activity where a person decides not to do something at that particular time, but opts to do it later. (Akerlof, 1991, p.2).The prioritization of tasks in the order of importance. When a person procrastinates, it isn’t always as a result of laziness because there are other psychological factors to consider. People who consider working under pressure always delay. They tend to reschedule an activity until to the last minutes and then start working on it. Anxiety also makes people procrastinate. People who are nervous about carrying out a given task will always postpone it and handle it later. (Solomon, 1984, P.45).

Hanging around people who are always active gives a person the desire to get into the action too. There are those people who procrastinate with the notion of waiting for the right time and as a result, they end up making simple tasks complex. A recommendation for such people is to create specific and realistic deadlines. This will enable them to take actions before it’s too late. Remaining positive at all times helps to reduces procrastination, and a person can work on any given task as soon as possible. (Brown, 1992, P.98).
