Plato’s form theory

The theory of knowledge established by Plato is developed from presumably debate between sophists and Socrates, where the Plato’s dialogue to give a clear picture. The way he presents the conflict between these components was between the battle between purveyors of opinions and seekers of knowledge. There are elements that are observed when classifying an idea as an opinion and others as knowledge.

Opinion may be true when it serve as a successful controller to action. However, opinions that are true cannot be defended. On the other hand, knowledge differs from the opinion because it can be defended through the use of logos that is a rational explanation on why a particular opinion is true.

Knowledge is regarded as a true opinion because it is accompanied by a logos and can be expressed as a justified true belief.
