In terms of the business level strategy, Cablevision Systems Corporation should adopt a cost leadership strategy. The goal of this strategy is to be the lowest cost provider of goods and services in the market (Hitt, Ireland, & Hoskisson, 2014). Through offering low prices, the company can gain a larger market share.

Globally, wireless companies have been compelled or driven to seek partnership or merger for a number of reasons. Businesses tend to gain market share through mobile accessories and products. Another factor contributing to these mergers is the technology of the products. AT&T has been involved in a number of acquisition transactions, for instance, the company merged with Cingular Wireless in the year 2004 (AT&T, 2014).
