Madam C. J. Walker was born as Sarah Breedlove. She became an entrepreneur, a philanthropist, and the first female self-made millionaire in America. In addition, she walked into her fortune by developing and marketing hair and beauty products for black women under a company which she founded and named Madam C. J. Walker Manufacturing Company. Madam Walker was born Sarah Breedlove on December 23, 1867 in Delta Louisiana.

It was recognized and later registered as a national landmark in Indianapolis. Additionally, Walter was recognized as the wealthiest African-American woman in the United States. According to her obituary in New York Times, she always said to herself that she was not a millionaire, but worked hard to become one some time. Her daughter became the president of her mother’s company Madame C. J. Walker Manufacturing Company. Nearly 100 years have passed since her death, and she is still remembered as the leading African-American entrepreneur and Philanthropist. Then, she would always give back to the society in appreciation through charitable work. In addition, her spirit of hard work and determination inspired the lives of many Americans. Indeed, she was the savior of the black community in America and inspired many generations.
