Knowledge of individual differences gives leaders the insights and frameworks to diagnose the situation. Therefore, the guidelines employed by leaders in such instances include extroversion, conscientiousness, agreeableness, emotional stability and openness to experience (McSwain, 2013).

For a team to be successful, both task-oriented behavior and relationship orientation are required within the team. This helps team members accomplish their long term goals. In addition, the socio-emotional role includes behaviors that defines individuals’ emotional well-being and strengthen their social identity. Thus, in this way, the team members would be able to accomplish their tasks on time and remain aggressive to cover other tasks (Daft, 2014).
