Is the internet or Television to blame for violence in society?
Is the internet or Television to blame for violence in society?: In the modern world, there exist the good and the bad; however, it is upon a person to determine what is bad or good for him or herself. Cultures are merging, and the customary norms are quickly eroding. The internet and the television are the key players in the erosion of customs, beliefs, values, and principles (Umphlett). The two are also the main propagators of violence in the society. The paper will explain why I consider the television a more propagator of violence in the community than the internet.

Everyone uses the internet but not each person uses it to propagate violence; however, it makes things simpler by providing details people need to know about violence. The internet has more to offer than television; however, television provides more accuracy. The internet is home for all the information an individual might be seeking. However, with the television, a large segment of the news broadcast is violence based. The spread of such news can cause anger among various individuals thus sparking violence in the community. A good example is the marginalization of the Muslim community; people view them as terrorists despite them not being terrorists. Labelling an individual a terrorist can cause violence in the community.
