There are three methods of therapy namely Reality, Motivational and Cognitive. Reality therapy is based on choice theory, which states that people choose their behavior. This usually focuses on personal responsibility for our choices and the resulting outcomes bearing in mind that we are responsible for creating our problems as well as solving them. Motivational therapy is an approach that helps patients resolve their problems themselves.
