In Defense of Food Book report

In Defense of Food Book report:The book In Defense of Food by Michael Pollan is rather interesting right from the cover of the book. At the base of the cover there is a dietary advice, “Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants.” The dietary advice captures the attention of the reader, and the reader wants to know more about what the book entails. The short dietary advice on the cover of the book also gives the reader the idea that the book is about food or something that is related to food and diet.

Another dietary advice offered by Pollan is that people should partake more of whole fresh foods and refrain from eating processed foods. Pollan argues that humans used to eat healthily, but the healthy dietary lessons propagated through generations have been corrupted and complicated by food industries, nutritionists, and journalists.

In conclusion, the Pollan’s book is an interesting and insightful read. The advice and recommendations offered by Pollan enlighten the reader on the diets that are considered healthy and the foods that are unhealthy although food marketers continuously promote the foods as healthy.
