Evidence-based practice is the conscientious, judicious, and explicit use of current evidence in decision making. In healthcare provision, individual clinical expertise is integrated with the best available external evidence, which is gotten from clinical research.

EBP movement was born from the urge to improve the care processes and patient outcomes because some of the healthcare deficits were found to be caused by preventable harm
