Impacts of North Carolina DSS financial cuts for working parents with children in child care. North Carolina division of social services (DSS) is in charge of various programs and services aimed at improving the wellbeing of the community.

Among these services is the child support services availed to over 400,000 families. Child adoption and other community development programs are also availed by DSS. The child support program has a strong commitment in securing medical and financial support for children in their respective families.

This program has been in existence since 1975. It was establishe by the congress to ensure that families take responsibility to support their children in all aspects. In North Carolina, this program provides child support services to the parents or guardians of minor children, irrespective of the level of income.

The children belonging to these families are the most affected with respect to this decision. Their lives may be ruine as they may not be able to acquire good education right from an early age.

Cutting of finances takes away the resources that are necessary to give children a good future. Likewise, the families become overburdene with the responsibility of taking care of children who are no longer catere for by DSS.

The eventual consequence is that families will be compelle to live in financially constraine environments where meeting the needs of children would be limite (Goff, Michael, and Rosemary 71).
