Performance management can be said to be the measures installed to ensure that the organization and all its subsystems are working together to make the organization achieve the optimum level of results. This field can be divided into two components, which include one that looks at the performance of the whole company while evaluating the performance of the top management as far as reaching the company’s goals is concerned.

Lastly, implementing such a system would lead to favoritism. By rating employees, some individuals may be viewed as key to the company. As a result, they are entrusted with new jobs roles and duties as team leaders (Aguinis, 2013). This in turn creates discord and distrust among the employees, especially the team members. This dissent might negatively affect the morale and the gratification hence the company may generally underperform.
