Genetically modified organisms (GMOs)

In the recent years, genetically modified organisms have generated lots of debates with some supporting the development while others oppose the whole idea. Those who support GMOs especially genetically modified foods argue that GM foods are safe, are more nutritious, resist diseases and also increase food production and thus serving starving nations. On the other hand, People who dispute GMOs term them as hazardous and unsafe for human consumption. With all these controversies, it would be more profitable to investigate and learn facts about genetically modified organisms.

Those who support GMOs argue that they increase food production and also increase nutrient contents. On the other hand, some studies indicate that GMOs could cause harmful effects on human health. Some of researched conducted on GMOs can be biased in favor of the GM corporations hence hide the real truth about harmful effects of GMOs. With all these concerns, proper systems are required to ensure that consumers are protected and also given freedom to choose their preferred type of food.
