The world is changing dramatically in various ways that impact our everyday lives. Generation shift will influence future training through social, technological, economic and political factors. These trends will shape the future at work in the 21st century. Suppose we classify the current generation as X and the new upcoming generation as Y, generation Y will grow up in the world of technological advancements and would be easier to train. The definition of an employee is quickly transforming.

This is because the generation Y will be aware of the machines they will be using such as computers and internet devices. As technology is rapidly increasing, generation Y is getting nervous on the new technological devices. For instance, the upcoming education system is introducing tablets as necessary gadgets in school. Thus, the upcoming generation will learn to use computers at their early age, and when they get to workforce, training will be easier and fast. Thus, it is evident that generation shift will influence the level, time and methods of training.
