Gender Influence on Conformity to Traffic Regulations
The history shows that the masculinity plays a major role in exposing an individual to traffic accidents. The assumption that gender influences the degree at which drivers follow traffic rules necessitated this study. The aim was to establish whether gender has an influence on the ability for drivers to follow traffic rules. Four ways were selected for this study and data collected on the number of drivers who did not follow the traffic rules out of twenty drivers in a certain root at a time. Among the details were the gender of the driver and the route they were in.
In addition, the researcher wanted to establish whether the gender of the driver affected the way he or she treated other road users, especially pedestrians. The results revealed that indeed the gender of a driver influenced his or her degree of conformity to traffic rules.
The history shows that the masculinity plays a major role in exposing an individual to traffic accidents. Masculine people have higher chances of causing or suffering an accident that feminine or less masculine people. The feeling of masculinity tends to convince a person that he might escape the risk of an accident thus end up taking risk. This explains why many men are prone to accidents compared to women. The age of a man is also an important factor in an accident prevalence determination. Masculine men between the age of 18 and 45 are more prone to accidents that younger and older counterparts, especially because the younger counterparts are never allowed to drive and the older ones give more value to safety than to speed. There has been argument that more women drivers follow the traffic rules than their male counterparts.

In most cases, it is not a guarantee that every time the driver broke a rule an accident resulted. In addition, it is possible that even the accidents that some accidents that occurred were caused by both female and male drivers especially if the accidents involved two vehicles which were driven by both parties. However, some accidents never occur due to the drivers’ fault. Sometimes they pedestrians are at fault. .
