Researches have been carried out to prove that women are better than men at recognizing facial expressions and emotions. The studies have shown that women are better interpreters of facial expressions and emotions expressed subtly (Hall, Carter & Horgan, 2000). Over the past years, it has been evident that mothers were better interpreters of non-verbal cues than non-mothers.

Further studies can be done to prove this hypothesis too. In spite of this, it is still evident that irrespective of the age, and number of kids, a woman with a child is in a better place to read emotions than a woman with no child.
