Explain how two or more authors addressed a particular theme this semester; Bessie’s head was an influential writer who advocated for the equal human rights among people regardless of the gender or race in the society. Based on the community, South Africa is most of her work. Racial discrimination, male domination, and female suppression are very prevalent in the society.
Her work in writing show opposing forces which include superiority and inferiority, oppression and liberation and the theme of power and powerlessness in the society. Bessie Head work advocate for liberalization of oppressed women in the society, in particular women and black people in South African society.

Arguably, she claims that women are more educated and their cognitive skills are similar or even much higher than men, however, as a result of inferiority and docile nature of the society they are unable to keep the pace with the process of learning. According to Bessie Head, women have the similar cognitive and psychological ability like men, but because women are subjected to inferiority and suppressed by fellow men they live in a state of imprisonment affecting their liberation to engage in activities.
Women are isolated and treated as sub-human by their counterpart males. Bessie Head advocate for equality between male and female, in a male-dominated society that considers women as inferior, and irrelevant.
