From reading Chapter 9 and from personal experiences, most people will agree that youth with Emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD); can engage in behavior that is destructive to others and to themselves. For a parent or family that has a child with such issues, this can be a very difficult and scary experience. Children with emotional disorders often find it hard to express their everyday emotions.

In people with emotional and behavioral disorders, there are several subgroups; each with its own challenges that need specialized approaches to help them overcome their academic and behavior related shortcomings. This one education related problem embodies the many challenges that such children have to go through in their everyday lives.
