The electric cars were invented in the 1890’s when there were no combustion engines. In simple words, an electric car is propelled by electric motors. The car uses energy stored in the batteries or any other storage device. The electric cars were replaced by the introduction of combustion engines in the 20th century.

In conclusion, electric vehicles are gaining popularity in the 21st century. The massive production of these cars is promoted by the fact that they are environmentally friendly. The rising process of oil is also another factor that is promoting their demand. The vehicles are efficient in terms of energy consumption and they have low maintenance costs. On the other hand, the electric vehicles have some drawbacks. The vehicles are expensive, and their batteries are also expensive. The risks of fire accidents are also another challenge. The vehicles are also bulky due to the weight of the batteries.
