Effects of childhood obesity in United States: Over the years obesity has posed a challenge to every part of the world. The changing lifestyle and other contributing factors cannot be ignored. It has appeared eminent, that as human beings strive to achieve a healthy life through healthy eating, and many of them end up being obese.

This relates closely to poor eating habits. Obesity in the United States has taken an increasing trend over three years.  A significant proportion of the population in the United States is obese. Other industrialized nations are not an exemption to the increasing trend in obesity.

Obesity has been cited as a major health issue in the United States. United States experiences the highest rate of obesity cases among the developed countries. The rate of childhood obesity in United States is also increasing at an alarming rate.

In conclusion, obese children have a lot of problems. I believe that the school has a role to play in reducing weight. Majority of the obese children spend a lot of their time in school.

This leaves the school with a key responsibility of focusing more on physical health of these children. Schools have to integrate physical fitness lessons in their timetables, in the attempt to reduce obesity.
