Differential Justice:Differential justice can be described as the difference in how social control is applied to different groups. In America, Latinos and African Americans are underprivileged in the justice structure. Averagely, white offenders receive smaller sentences for identical crimes. Officials, using their own prudence, based on their own predisposed options, choose on whether to drop charges or not.

Since America’s races are dispersed unevenly across jurisdictions, and jurisdictions ruling unevenly from one another, combining has a consequence that is easily misjudged as racially disparate sentencing.
