There are ongoing concerns on the issue of the reliability as well as the validity of the information provided for in this manual especially when it comes to addressing of mental disorders. They include; the diagnostic categories, the medicalization of human distress, superficial symptoms reliance on diagnosis, possible cultural bias as well as the artificial means of drawing the line between normality and cultural bias.
