Death Penalty

The death penalty has been used as a form of capital punishment for individuals that have committed serious and heinous crimes. Crimes that fall under the death penalty result category include murder, robbery with violence, and rape especially of minors. There are some states and countries that have the death penalty as a capital punishment. Once tried and convicted of certain crimes, individuals are out on death row as they wait to be killed. But this is only applicable in some states and countries.

Proponents of the death penalty feel that is the ultimate crime that ensures that the criminal does not kill again. When he or she is dead, the criminal cannot be a menace to the society. Law enforcement agencies can concentrate on trying to curb new crime levels; instead of concentrating one a group of individuals who revolve around being in prison and being released.; or taking their menace to prison.
