It was revealed in a heartbreaking manner that the National Security Agency (NSA) is collecting massive numbers of phone numbers. Igor Bobic of the Guardian establishes that the NSA collects such data from Verizon, which is one of the largest telecoms providers America has. It does so under a top secret order from the court issued to Verizon (Bobic , 2013). The court order requires the telecom provider to issue NSA with information on all the telephone calls in their system on an ongoing daily basis.

In conclusion, pointing out that allowing the NSA to collect and store people’s data is not only highly unethical, but also a serious form of invasion in their communication activities is very important.
