The paper will execute an in depth analysis of one video, one podcast and one blog, related to democracy. The author’s application of bias, applicability and validity of facts will be reviewed. The impact of web-based knowledge in multicultural understanding and global citizenship will also be analyzed. Finally, 3 factors will be established, which are considered when assessing sources for application in researching knowledge.

Traditionally, before the age of the internet, doing research required a great deal of commitment and long, tedious period searching over books, encyclopedias, magazines and newspapers, at an established library.

The internet simplifies research considerably compared to the traditional method of research. However, since the web is a pool of information, not all is credible and reliable; therefore, careful considerations must be emphasized so as to avoid misleading and erroneous information.
