The first reason for a 95% confidence interval is to allow for future research in any findings a researcher concludes. The 95% confidence gives room for a 5% unsure portion that allows for further studies in the field. If a research were 100% in the confidence interval, there would be no room for further research and the conclusions arrived at by the researcher would be what the world deems as right and appropriate. The second reason for the near 100% confidence interval is to ensure the readers and scholars can rely on the data given. When something has a higher confidence rate, it is easier for the readers or users to rely on the info provided. Users want something they can build their trust on; reliable information offers scholars a chance to research more on the field. Moreover, what are the driving conditions for all of the sampled vehicles, a record for all of the vehicles that come into the local Transmission Specialists that experience transmission trouble, and the miles of them, the national average for mileage on transmission failure, and a test for other local vehicle manufactures and their transmission performance. All of the additional information that could be gathered could assist significantly in this study, by helping local Transmission Specialists gain a better understanding of this early transmission failure issue and what is exactly causing it. From the data conducted by Kobi, the concerned employees at the local Transmission Specials were able to conclude that the vehicles that were being brought into their repair shop were experiencing early transmission failure, on an average of 73,340 miles for 50 sampled vehicles.
