The 1979 nuclear reactor broke down in Three Mile Island, exposed people to the radiation. Although no immediate deaths or injuries were reported to form the event, however, the incident attracted the attention of the media and rose panic throughout the area and away.The main channels used to communicate the crisis were the traditional media namely local radio stations and televisions networks.

A crisis is a scenario that puts the reputation and integrity of a company at risk, usually triggered by adverse or adverse media attention. In this case, a crisis caused by news that public water sources are affected by contamination with a specific biological agent hence creating panic among the public. However, it is advisable that the public first stop consuming the water and the company to supply the area with alternative supplies of clean water to ensure safety.
