Child development theories

Child development is the psychological, emotional, and biological transformations that take place in individuals between the time they are born and towards the end of adolescence, or as they progresses from a level of dependency to increasing self-sufficiency. Notably, factors such as events during parental life, genetics, and parental and genetic development strongly influence these developmental changes.

It is for this reason that researchers and scientists came up with theories to determine the changes that occur during child development. Child development is a process involving mastering various skills such as walking, sitting, tying shoes, skipping, talking, and learning.
