Child abuse goes beyond bruises and broken bones as most people presume. Although physical abuse seems as the most dangerous form of abuse because of the scars and pain it inflicts, child abuse is equally as painful and dangerous to the victim regardless of the form it takes. Evidently, child abuse has become a key concern in the world today as more cases are unveiled on daily basis.

Strict implementation of these laws is therefore key to enhanced efficacy. Pediatricians also have the knowledge and ability to identify children facing risks of maltreatment and those already victimized. With this realization, they should uphold professionalism as guided by the relevant ethics in their line of work and contribute to the global war against child abuse.
