Argumentative essay on tradition:Tradition refers to ancient practices that are built into the society’s fabric. Every country and society has its tradition. Traditions are handed down from one generation to another. One such traditions in the United States society is the Thanksgiving tradition. Thanksgiving is amongst the many holidays in the United States, an autumnal ritual set to honor the piety as well as perseverance of the country’s earliest arrivals in colonial days.

During this celebration every year, the U.S. president issues a yearly decree to make the date of the festival. In 1863, President Abraham Lincoln started the custom, and all the presidents since then have issued a Thanksgiving Day declaration. It is a tradition that the American people value so much and it will continue for many more years to come.
