The video selected for the post is called “People like us,” and it focuses on the social classes in America and how people place themselves in this social groups. Social class may be defined as a group of individuals with similar wealth, status, and influence levels.

According to the video, most Americans don’t think of how income, family background, attitudes, education, aspirations and appearance mark somebody as a particular social class member. Social class is harder to spot compared to ethnic and racial differences. However, in numerous ways it is a vital predictor of the kind of educational and financial opportunities somebody has in life (People like Us, n.d).
