African-American:Throughout the span of history, the United States has committed a fair amount of wrongs, however, the subject of slavery constantly haunts this nation. Since the Emancipation Proclamation, some blacks have requested reparations, or compensation needed from a defeated country as indemnity for harm done during war for the shocking actions of slave owners against their countrymen.

It is significant for the nation to leave both this human misery and wrong behind, but not away from mind or conscience. The U.S. society already has a long agenda to challenge its moral faculties as well as its remedial imaginations as it assesses its responsibilities to each another in the future.
