The point of view of the author, Coyne is that the Irish law that forces women to deliver children against their will is barbaric. Coyne illustrates this by explaining the ordeal undergone by a foreign woman who had been raped in her native country. The author explains how the laws in Ireland are influenced by that Catholic Church. It is from this that the title of the article is drawn. The article talks the events an ordeal experienced by a foreign woman wishing to terminate her pregnancy in Ireland. On understanding the laws, she finds out that if the pregnancy made her suicidal, which the law recognized as endangerment of her life, this would warrant an abortion.

The article poses a challenge to healthcare professionals to overlook technicalities as well as put aside their personal feelings about abortion aside and help women in need of counseling. The author seems critical of the fact that the debate is taking a direction towards politics and religion and avoiding the important issue, the need for counseling for women like Yana.
Unlike the other articles that both campaign for abortion, this paper concentrates of the need for counseling for women how have had an abortion. This paper is not much interested in the debate regarding abortion.
