Relationships in Prison

Sexual relationships and familial set ups in prison should be permitted. Each human being is entitled to rights to social relations that comes with living as a community. For prisoners, this may not be considered so, as they are incarcerated for wrong-doing. Thus, they become a community involuntarily. Being confined in prison limits their connection to their families. Consequently, they end up confiding and making friendships and ties with fellow inmates who becomes their support system. An individual cannot survive on their own.

Families also benefit to maintain the family system, its needs and cultivation of family support, that makes it easier for the inmates to blend with ease once they are set free. Additionally, they also serve to lessen the cases of psychological and emotional ailments among the prisoners.
